Global Citizen Award

Om de 2 jaar reikt AMS haar Global Citizen Award uit aan een buitengewone en inspirerende persoon die een blijvende impact heeft op onze maatschappij.

Deze prestigieuze onderscheiding is een erkenning voor ‘rolmodel’ leiders die zich gedurende hun carrière verdienstelijk hebben gemaakt op het integreren en verspreiden van een aantal waarden die ook door AMS hoog in het vaandel worden gedragen. Met name op het vlak van zelfbewustzijn, globaal perspectief en maatschappelijk bewustzijn die elk op hun manier bijdragen tot een betere samenwerking, tot vindingrijkheid voor het oplossen van complexe problemen en tot duurzaamheid.

The theme for the artwork was "Global Citizenship", as this is one of the pillars of Antwerp Management School.

The artist Erwin Van den Brande has chosen images from passports that represent nature. Because nature is our most important asset we have on our planet. Other images feel more spiritual, as spirituality should help us in our path to Global Citizenship, and in the pursuit of its values. The clips taken from the passports have been spaced throughout the artwork and are placed in globes and spheres. This gives the idea of planets in the universe.
