Scholarship overview
The scholarship is awarded in the form of a tuition fee reduction, covering 25 to 50% of the tuition expenses depending on your profile. The scholarship amount will be deducted from the total tuition fee prior to the commencement of the academic year 2025-2026. Although we aim to distribute scholarships fairly across different Full-Time Master's programs, in some cases, we may give priority to applicants from certain programs.
Eligibility
- This scholarship is open to prospective Full-Time Master’s students beginning their studies in 2025-2026 who are experiencing financial challenges to fund their studies at AMS.
- Academic excellence is established if applications with a Bachelor or Master’s degree hold:
- An average grade equivalent to “great distinction” in the Belgian grading scale at the time of application. This means that you have obtained a weighted percentage of at least 77%, or
- An average grade equivalent to “distinction” in the Belgian grading scale at the time of application with significant extracurricular achievements (such as top-level sports, being a board member of a student association, etc.)
Conditions
By accepting this scholarship, you agree to the following terms:
- Supporting the Full-Time Master’s team as a Student Ambassador, by either taking on a student representative role or engaging in promotional activities throughout your academic year at AMS.
- Pay a deposit of €3,000 within two weeks of receiving the scholarship offer to guarantee your spot in the program.
- Non-EU/EEA scholarship recipients must submit their student visa application no later than May 1, 2025.
Application process
- Start by applying to your chosen master’s program.
- In the application form, indicate that you rely on a scholarship and wish to apply for an AMS partial scholarship.
- In the AMS scholarship section, you will be required to provide details about your academic performance and financial need. Additionally, you must submit a motivation letter explaining why you deserve the scholarship and elaborating on your financial need, if applicable. If you have significant financial need, you will need to upload supporting documents, such as proof of previous study grants or scholarships, letter from social service of your university, copies of recent tax returns, etc.
- Submit your application and complete the remaining steps of the application process.
- You will receive notification of your admission status within one week following your interview.
- The scholarship decision will be communicated within 2 weeks after the applicable scholarship round.
Application timeline
Scholarships are limited and awarded on a rolling basis. To maximize your chances, ensure you apply as early as possible.
Final Scholarship Deadlines (subject to availability):
- April 1: Open to both EU and non-EU applicants.
- June 30: Open to EU applicants only.
Note: Your admission interview must be completed before the respective deadline to be considered for the partial scholarship.
Decision
The scholarship committee will review all scholarship applications on a monthly basis. Please note that the scholarship committee's decisions are final and not subject to appeal.

- Applicants are expected to submit proof of their yearly (family) income and/or proof of previously awarded need-based scholarships/grants. Misrepresentation of your financial situation in the scholarship application may lead to disqualification from both the scholarship and admission processes.
- Scholarships are competitive and primarily intended for candidates who would otherwise be unable to finance their studies. If you can fund your education without a scholarship, we kindly ask you not to apply for one to ensure fair allocation of resources.
