Full-Time Master's Scholarship

Scholarship overview

The scholarship is awarded in the form of a tuition fee reduction, covering up to 50% of the tuition expenses depending on your profile. The scholarship amount will be deducted from the total tuition fee prior to the commencement of the academic year 2025-2026. Although we aim to distribute scholarships fairly across different Full-Time Master's programs, in some cases, we may give priority to applicants from certain programs.

Eligibility

  • This scholarship is open to prospective Full-Time Master’s students beginning their studies in 2025-2026 who are experiencing financial challenges to fund their studies at AMS.
  • Academic excellence is established if applications with a Bachelor or Master’s degree hold:
    • An average grade equivalent to “great distinction” in the Belgian grading scale at the time of application. This means that you have obtained a weighted percentage of at least 77%, or
    • An average grade equivalent to “distinction” in the Belgian grading scale at the time of application with significant extracurricular achievements (such as top-level sports, being a board member of a student association, etc.)

Conditions

By accepting this scholarship, you commit to supporting the Student Recruitment & Marketing team as a Student Ambassador, engaging in promotional activities throughout your academic year at AMS. Furthermore, scholarship recipients agree to submit their student visa application before May 1, 2025, with AMS reserving the right to revoke the scholarship in cases of non-compliance (applies to non-EAA students). The scholarship is only valid for the 2025-2026 academic year and cannot be transferred to other years.

Application process

  1. Start by applying to your chosen master’s program.
  2. In the application form, indicate that you rely on a scholarship and wish to apply for an AMS partial scholarship.
  3. In the AMS scholarship section, you will be required to provide details about your academic performance and financial need. Additionally, you must submit a motivation letter explaining why you deserve the scholarship and elaborating on your financial need, if applicable. If you have significant financial need, you will need to upload supporting documents, such as proof of previous study grants or scholarships, letter from social service of your university, copies of recent tax returns, etc.
  4. Submit your application and complete the remaining steps of the application process.
  5. You will receive notification of your admission status within one week following your interview.
  6. The scholarship decision will be communicated within 2 weeks after the applicable scholarship round.

Application timeline

Your interview needs to have taken place before the start of a decision round to be considered during that round. We advise you to apply at least two weeks before the start of the round you want to be considered in.

We have four decision rounds for our scholarships. The deadlines are:

  • November 30 (EU & non-EU)
  • February 28 (EU & non-EU)
  • April 30 (EU & non-EU) – last deadline if you need a student visa to study in Belgium!
  • June 30 (EU only)

Decision

The scholarship committee will review scholarship applications after each round deadline. Decisions will be communicated within two weeks following the respective deadline. Please note that the scholarship committee's decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
