Well-being at work, the core of a good strategy
Well-being at work has become a crucial part of the strategy for many organizations. After all, better well-being leads to more productivity, greater involvement, more innovation, less absenteeism due to burn-out, and a more positive corporate image. But above all, employers want their employees to genuinely feel good within the organization. Well-being at work has therefore evolved from a 'nice extra' to a necessity. How do you best approach this evolution?
During this masterclass we offer practical insights based on academic research. We unravel the essence of well-being at work by examining its evidence-based building blocks:
- What drives the individual?
- How can the work environment facilitate or block this energy?
We also zoom in on psychological safety and conclude with a look at current and evolving research areas.
From theoretical to practical well-being policy
This masterclass consists of 6 days. We focus on:
- Well-being at work from a scientific point of view
- The core of well-being at work: what exactly do we mean, why is it so important?
- Motivations of the individual: we delve deeper into the self-determination theory and the Schwartz's 10 universal values
- Work environment: energy givers and takers based on the Job Demands Resources model
- Psychological safety: how can you stimulate this, what impact does it have on the team and the organization
- Future perspectives: including inclusivity, digitalization, integration of well-being in ESG, etc.
