Maritime Transport Track

Within the supply chain, transportation is an often underestimated but very valuable and vulnerable component. Think back to the Covid quarantines that shut down entire ports, causing huge disruptions to imports and exports. In short, there is no favorable economy without a well-managed transportation chain. The number of ships and ports is still growing every day, as is the value the maritime industry creates for the global economy. Therefore, the industry is yearning for specialists who know this world inside out and know how to make thoughtful decisions that take their organization to a higher strategic level.

Students in the Maritime Transport track will learn to understand all aspects of the maritime value chain. A central position in the industry

Our campus is a few minutes' walk from Europe's second-largest port. This allows you to discover daily how the port network moves, with all its shipping lines, forwarding companies and brokers. Our central location as a switch point between other important ports (such as front-runner Rotterdam) ensures close contact with the entire global economy served from the water.

Your future lecturers are all experienced professionals with a well-known name in the maritime industry. So a phone call to an interesting guest speaker from the field is quickly arranged. The Master in Maritime Transport Management was founded in 1996 by the University of Antwerp and was further optimized there over the years. In 2020, it was transferred as an advanced master’s program to the partner school AMS, but the support of the umbrella expertise center C-MAT remained. Today, our students enjoy the know-how of 2 prestigious educational institutions.
