Ramsey Nasr’s city poem back in all its glory at Mechelseplein
The city poem ‘een minimum’, written by Ramsey Nasr and since 2005 displayed on the façade of the former OCMW building at Mechelseplein square, had disappeared for about a year, as the building is currently undergoing a change of use to become the beautiful new home of Antwerp Management School (AMS) as of August 27, 2018.
Renovation works obliged the partial removal of the poem, which caused quite a stir amongst the poem’s many fans. After consultation between AMS, poet Ramsey Nasr and the City of Antwerp’s alderman for culture, Caroline Bastiaens, an adjusted design befitting the renovated façade was approved.
Today, Wednesday May 9 May, 2018, the big day has arrived: the city poem ‘een minimum’ is back in all its glory on the Boogkeers façade at Mechelseplein.
