Despite COVID unrestricted progress of program guaranteed | Applications are open, start of studies October 2020

The PhD Program for executives is tailored to international executives and managers. The program offers the unique opportunity to combine high-level business experience with academic knowledge. In close collaboration with both the Faculty of Business and Economics and the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Antwerp, AMS offers a guided- doctoral degree program. In 2017, our colleagues from Management Center Innsbruck joined our cooperation. During a 4-year PhD journey candidates will translate business related questions into exciting academic research projects.

We are looking forward to welcoming the next group of candidates in October 2020. The COVID-19 pandemic will not compromise the quality of the program. Prof. Dr. Steffi Weil, Academic Program Director, explains: "We took the swift decision to offer our program in an virtual format. Our PhD candidates are coming from all over the world, in order to meet their needs we decided to launch the program in October online. A hybrid model will be available for those who are able to visit the campus. This ensures that the participants can complete the PhD program as planned without any ramifications.

The teaching modules this autumn will therefore take place online. “The program had already a blended learning format before. By adapting this model to the needs of the international PhD candidate community, we can ensure a smooth continuation of the learning journeys of our professional PhD candidates”, adds Elke Tweepenninckx, Program Manager of the Executive PhD program.

We will welcome our candidates to our campus again once the health risks are manageable and travel restrictions are being lifted.
