Sustainable transformation
The strategic collaboration between Port of Antwerp-Bruges and Antwerp Management School has been going on for several years and has already led to innovative initiatives and concrete steps towards a more sustainable future. An example of this is the joint chair on sustainable transformation, which ran from 2018 to 2023, also in collaboration with BASF and Randstad Belgium. This led to the development of various training courses, tools, barometers and insights to promote sustainable transformation in organizations and society.

With the addition of Vandermeiren, AMS strengthens its board of directors, which includes many other prominent captains of industry such as Jan Remeysen, CEO BASF Antwerp (chairman of RVB of AMS); Françoise Chombar, chairman of Melexis; Véronique Goossens, Chief Economist Belfius; Anita Van Looveren, CEO OM Partners; Koen Vandenbempt, dean of the Faculty of Business Sciences and Economics at the University of Antwerp and Steven Van Passel, vice-rector of Valorization at UAntwerp.
“I look forward to taking up my role on the board of directors of Antwerp Management School and contributing to the further development of sustainable leadership and innovation,” adds Jacques Vandermeiren, CEO Port of Antwerp-Bruges. “Together we can meet the challenges of the future and contribute to a resilient and sustainable society.”
