The University of Antwerp – Faculty of Business and Economics, including all activities of the Antwerp Management School (AMS), has been awarded the prestigious EQUIS accreditation. The programs of AMS have now attained accreditations from three of the most prestigious international accreditation bodies: Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the Association of MBAs (AMBA), and the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) through EQUIS. Through the FBE EQUIS accreditation, AMS joins a select group (1%) of business schools worldwide with three international accreditations (AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS), or a so-called “Triple Crown”.

The EQUIS label is awarded by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), a non-profit organization of business schools and enterprises that aims to promote, enhance, and internationalize management education. With the EQUIS label, EFMD acknowledges and supports business schools that pioneer in the domains of internationalization, connections with practice and integration of sustainability and ethics in all activities.

According to EFMD, as part of the FBE our major strengths lie in our strong connection to practice and embedding in local and global business eco-systems, both at the program and faculty levels. The international relevance of our EMBA program was assessed as exceptionally strong, as well as the emphasis we place on ethics, responsibility, and sustainability overall. Additionally, EFMD values the expertise in research and development in the fields of supply chain, transportation, maritime affairs, sustainability and innovation.
