Antwerp Management School welcomes Mensura as a partner

Antwerp Management School (AMS) and Mensura, Belgium’s largest external service for workplace prevention and protection, are expanding their previous collaboration into a trusted, agile, and constructive partnership.

Antwerp Management School and Mensura previously joined forces for research on reintegration after long-term burnout. Eva Geluk, senior researcher at Antwerp Management School, and Bart Teuwen, absenteeism expert at Mensura, studied the key role a neutral facilitator plays in reintegration processes. This research led to the launch of the “Re-Set Facilitator: Reintegration after Burnout” program at Antwerp Management School.

A sustainable partnership for future research

Following the success of their initial project, Antwerp Management School and Mensura are now strengthening their collaboration, with a primary focus on research. The first phase will examine the conditions necessary for a successful return to work after long-term illness. Building on their previous work on burnout, Mensura and Antwerp Management School will expand the role of the neutral facilitator to other prolonged illnesses. Additionally, they aim to develop practical solutions that employers can use to reduce absenteeism.

Bridging science and practice

“At Antwerp Management School and Mensura, we want to support businesses and their employees by merging scientific research with practical solutions,” says Steven De Haes, Dean of Antwerp Management School. “This long-term partnership gives us the opportunity to co-develop knowledge and promote lifelong learning, ultimately creating a positive impact on the challenges businesses face.”

“With this partnership, we combine scientific knowledge with practical expertise to help companies tackle absenteeism effectively. Together, we are building sustainable solutions to improve workplace well-being,” adds Gretel Schrijvers, CEO of Mensura.

“We aim to co-create relevant insights and solutions with and for practice, making them directly applicable for organizations struggling with absenteeism. With Mensura as a partner, we can conduct research that truly impacts this major societal issue,” concludes Eva Geluk, senior researcher at Antwerp Management School.

Mensura joins AMS networks

As CEO of Mensura, Gretel Schrijvers will join the Dean’s Club at Antwerp Management School. This exclusive club brings together business leaders and education professionals twice a year to engage in open dialogue on key societal issues. As a new member, Schrijvers will play a prominent role in discussions on absenteeism, contributing to positive impact for both businesses and society.

Additionally, Mensura will become part of the Corporate Membership Network at Antwerp Management School. This open network grants companies access to innovative insights and knowledge exchange. By joining as a Corporate Partner, Mensura aligns itself with leading organizations such as Bpost, Elia, and Baloise.
