Wouter Van Dooren is assistant professor at the Department of Political Science of the University of Antwerp, where he teaches Public Administration. He is a member of the research group Public Administration & Management (Management & Bestuur in Dutch), which combines both fundamental and applied research projects on Public Administration. Before joining the University of Antwerp, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow of the Flemish Research Foundation and as a researcher at the Public Management Institute of the University of Leuven. He was also a visiting expert at the Governance directorate of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in Paris and member of the Flemish strategic advisory board on Public Administration (VLABEST).
His main research interest lies in performance, performance measurement and management in the public sector. In addition, he is currently working on a research agenda that explores the political dimensions of public administration.
