Valentin Carlan is currently researcher and lecturer at the Department of Transport and Regional Economics at the Faculty of Business and Economics, University of Antwerp.
Valentin is actively involved in teaching courses like Technology and Innovation, Logistics and Forwarding or Logistics and Transport at the University of Antwerp and Antwerp Management School. Besides teaching, Valentin carries out research on topics like economics assessment models of innovation introduction, quantification of costs and benefits for applications of AI, IoT and synchromodality in ports and logistics. Valentin has been involved in the past 8 years in 11 research projects with finance from the Flemish government, Interreg, sector associations or Horizon Europe. He is actively looking for setting up multidisciplinary collaborative consortia and research.
