Prof. dr. Sofie Jacobs is Professor of Sustainable Career Development at Antwerp Management School and guest lecturer HRM at the University of Antwerp. She obtained her PhD in 2017 (University of Antwerp) with a thesis on career success in small-sized creative organizations.
Her research focuses on sustainable careers from a multi-stakeholder perspective, challenges and opportunities of non-standard careers such as freelancing, career mobility, and flexible talent management. She also specializes in Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA). Sofie’s work bridges research and practice, providing insights for organizations, governments, and the creative industries.She teaches in full-time master programs, in executive masters, and in company-specific programs. As Academic Director of the Global Leadership Program, she guides students in developing self-awareness, personal growth, and self-leadership to prepare for their future careers.
With over a decade of academic and professional experience, Sofie has published in several academic journals and delivered research and consultancy services to organizations and public authorities across Europe.
