Scholarship for Master in Public Management candidates from (small) cities and municipalities

Each academic year, Antwerp Management School awards a maximum of 5 scholarships to employees of (small) cities and municipalities who wish to participate in the Master in Public Management. The tuition fee is thus reduced from € 10 050 to € 7500.

A committee decides on the basis of the submitted application whether the candidate and the municipality are eligible for this scholarship.

Conditions:

The candidate has a master's degree (or an equivalent bachelor's degree through work experience) and has worked for at least 3 years in the municipality as a 'manager' or project leader.

A concrete challenge for the municipality is proposed and will be examined in the final master's thesis. In this way, the participant creates measurable impact in his municipality. A social problem will be investigated and possible solutions will be worked out and can be implemented afterwards.

This may also result in a publication that also offers useful insights for other municipalities. Examples of such master's theses by alumni are available on request.

A file is submitted via https://campus.antwerpmanagementschool.be/executive-master-public-management . This file contains the following components:

• Personal details of the candidate;
• Depiction of the city, municipality (OCMW);
• Brief explanation of the general director or mayor or financial director in case the general director himself wishes to participate about why the participation of the candidate is supported by the municipal administration;
• CV, personal motivation and copy of diploma and identity card.
