Accreditations & Rankings
The University of Antwerp – Faculty of Business and Economics, including all activities of the Antwerp Management School, has been awarded the prestigious EQUIS accreditation. The programs of AMS have now attained accreditations from three of the most prestigious international accreditation bodies: Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the Association of MBAs (AMBA), and the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) through EQUIS.
Through the FBE EQUIS accreditation, AMS joins a select group (1%) of business schools worldwide with three international accreditations (AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS), or a so-called “Triple Crown”.
AMS is also listed in the Financial Times Rankings and our master's programs are highly ranked in Eduniversal Rankings en QS World University Rankings.
AACSB
Antwerp Management School and the Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Antwerp obtained the most renowned and prestigious global accreditation of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) for their management programs.
AACSB is a US-based, global organization devoted to the advancement of quality management education through accreditation, thought leadership, and value-added services. AACSB is the oldest (1916) and world most renowned organization in its kind with almost 1000 accredited members.
This AACSB accreditation has been proudly held at Antwerp Management School since 2005 and was renewed in January 2021 for another 5 years.
NVAO
All master's programs offered by Antwerp Management School, both the full-time master's programs and the executive master's programs, are accredited by the Dutch-Flemish Accreditation Organization (NVAO). NVAO is the national accreditation organization for both Flanders (Dutch-speaking part of Belgium) and the Netherlands.
AMBA
AMBA, the Association of Masters in Business Administration, is the UK-based international MBA quality certification authority.
The Executive MBA of Antwerp Management School achieved the AMBA accreditation in 2015.
EQUIS
EQUIS is the leading international system of quality assessment, improvement, and accreditation of higher education institutions in management and business administration. The University of Antwerp – Faculty of Business and Economics, including all activities of the Antwerp Management School (AMS), has been awarded the prestigious EQUIS accreditation for the first time in 2023.
Financial Times Ranking
The Financial Times Rankings is considered worldwide to be the most authoritative ranking for Business Schools. In recent years, Antwerp Management School has been included in both the general European Business School Ranking and the rankings for specific programs such as the Master in Management ranking.
In May 2024 our master classes entered the Financial Times Custom Executive Education 2024 ranking for the first time, at N° 84.

Positive Impact Rating (PIR)
Antwerp Management School (AMS) was recognized for its social impact and sustainability performances at the launch of the Positive Impact Rating (PIR) results at the UN PRME Global Forum. AMS was one of the 45 business schools from 21 countries worldwide that participated in the rating in 2022 and achieved Level 4, making it a "transforming school" within the PIR. In 2023 AMS maintains its position, in 2023 71 business schools from 25 countries participated.
The PIR is a rating conducted by students and for students. For the third time, students worldwide have rated their business schools on how they perceive their positive impact in the world. The positive impact of business schools goes beyond their contribution to business and the economy; it is about their positive impact on society.
